Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide sedation – inhaled through a small nose mask during treatment, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) delivers a mild level of sedation. Because the dosage can be adjusted during your treatment, you’re sure to achieve the optimal level of comfort and relaxation. Additionally, the effects of nitrous oxide wear off quickly, so patients are able to resume daily activities directly following treatment.

Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation – a preferred sedation method for patients who have moderate to severe anxiety is oral conscious sedation. Dr. Lassetter or Dr. Rivacoba will prescribe a sedative for you to take at a predetermined time prior to treatment. Due to the long-lasting effects of sedative medications, patients should have a trusted friend or loved one drive them to and from the office. During treatment, as the name suggests, patients remain awake, but enter a dream-like state of deep relaxation.
