Meet Our Waco Dentist
Dr. Ron Evans
Ron Evans was born in Borger, Texas and grew up in Amarillo. He accepted a scholarship from Baylor University to play football, where he lettered three years, was selected team captain for 1971, named an All-Southwest Conference player and was drafted by the Houston Oilers (NFL) & the British Columbia Lions, (Canadian League). After deciding to pursue a childhood dream, he chose dental school over professional football.
He married his wife, Cindi, and they moved to Dallas where he received his degree from Baylor College of Dentistry. They returned to Waco in 1975 to make it their home and he started his dental practice. He has been in private practice in Waco for 42 years.
Dr. Evans is the proud father of three children: Ashley Evans Warren, Reggie Evans, and Kimberly Evans Young. His pride and joy are their six grandchildren (three girls & three boys). When not in the office providing dental care, Dr. and Mrs. Evans enjoy spending time with family (especially those grandkids), traveling, cooking and attending Baylor athletic events.
Dr. Evans has been very involved in the community: in both civic and church activities. He served on the Planning & Zoning Committee and City Council for the City of Woodway, Texas. He is a Past President of Ridgewood Country Club and has served and chaired multiple committees for Austin Avenue United Methodist Church. As a Shriner, he was a member of the Clown unit. He is also a Past President of the Baylor “B” Association (former letter winners), a lifetime member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and a member of the Central Texas Dental Society.
